Chefs are getting together for Masafest to celebrate the culinary tradition and significance of quality corn in communities throughout the world. Come out for a day at the beach with games for kids, face painting, cooking demos and food from Caracas Arepa Bar, Rockaway Taco and Cosme.
The second part of the event is the Masafeast dinner (for tickets see below) starting at 6:30p featuring Gabriela Camara of Mexico City’s Contramar/Merotoro and Ignacio Mattos of Mahattan’s Estela. Proceeds from the dinner benefit Graybeards, a Rockaway Beach Sandy Relief organization and Misión Integral, a Oaxaca Mexico biodiversity organization.
