Rockaway Ferry Service Returns 2017

Ferry service to the Rockaways returns Summer 2017! The expanded ferry service will integrate with the existing East River Ferry and serve all five boroughs at a cost of $2.75 per trip. For those that want to bring their bike along for the ride, it’ll cost an extra dollar. The Rockaway service will once again include a stop at the Brooklyn Army Terminal before terminating at Wall Street/Pier 11. It will be running between 6:30am to 10:00pm weekdays and weekends.

Previous ferry service to Rockaway:
Seastreak Ferry (2012-2014) $2.00 and raised to $3.50
New York Beach Ferry $20 one-way and $30 round-trip

In addition to the ferry, there will be two new bus shuttle service to get customers from/to the ferry station at Beach 108th Street and will run along Rockaway Beach Boulevard. One will run West towards Jacob Riis Park and the other will run East towards Beach 67 and Bayfield Avenue.

We want the Rockaway Ferry to serve the entire Rockaways!

I welcome the announcement of a RFP by Mayor de Blasio and @NYCEDC which signals the early stages of welcoming back the Rockaway Ferry.
