Sea Shepherd Beach Clean Up
Come out to the Rockaways and help protect marine wildlife. You will be joining other volunteers along with Sea Shepherd Conservation Society NYC for their first beach clean up of the season. All volunteers will be meeting on the boardwalk at Beach 116.
“We will meet on the boardwalk off Beach 116 (look for Sea Shepherd Jolly Roger flag).
We will clean the beach from 2 PM to 4:30 PM, then sort the trash on the boardwalk to separate out the recyclables and show people what we found.
If you cannot locate us, please call 516-515-1084. Don’t forget water and sunscreen. We will provide bags and work gloves. Please wear a Sea Shepherd shirt if you have one. We look forward to seeing you there.”
With millions of pounds of garbage dumped into the oceans every year, come out to the Rockaways and make a difference.

Note: if you prefer a scenic bus ride or plan to come from Northern Queens, you can take the Q53 bus directly to the Rockaways. Have a look at the Q53 bus route schedule.
